Our Client

We are delighted to be partnering with one of Irelands leading Hardware businesses, to recruit for 2 brand new roles for their Buying Team.

 

Role Purpose

As a Buying Administrator, you will report to the Buying Director and work closely with the Finance, Sales, and Operations teams. Your key responsibilities will include managing supplier support tasks, producing reports, maintaining customer relationships, and proactively communicating updates to stakeholders, such as delivery changes, price updates, and sales information.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Department Heads and the Buying Director to define tasks and objectives.
  • Update and maintain deal sheets, EBIZ systems, and supplier portals.
  • Analyse and produce monthly reports, supplier figures, and quarterly key category comparisons.
  • Proactively communicate with stakeholders about delivery dates, price changes, and sales information.
  • Manage seasonal orders for members and suppliers, including container costings and tracking.
  • Process new supplier account forms and maintain accurate warehouse product codes.
  • Ensure all PIM (Product Information Management) data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Coordinate member packs and supplier follow-ups during seasonal periods.
  • Build and maintain strong customer and supplier relationships.

We are looking for someone with exceptional attention to detail, numerical proficiency, and advanced Excel skills. Experience in construction or hardware industries is ideal, and familiarity with SAP systems is preferred.

 

Skills and Experience Required

  • Advanced Excel skills and a strong aptitude for working with numbers (mandatory).
  • Naturally organized with a structured approach to work.
  • Previous experience in the construction or hardware industry (ideal).
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar systems (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ambitious and curious, with a willingness to learn and develop within the role.

 

Salary and Benefits:

  • Basic Salary circa €40,000, depending on experience
  • Other benefits will be discussed at interview
