Up to €32k basic salary + commission after 6 months | Athlone, Co. Westmeath | No Sundays or Bank Holidays

Job Title: Junior Showroom Sales (Electrical Department)

Location: Athlone, Co. Westmeath

Salary / Package: Up to €32k basic + commission (after 6 months) + Christmas bonus + staff discount

Contract Type: Permanent, full-time – 40 hours a week

Working Week: Flexible start and finish – 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm. An average of two Saturdays a month. No Sundays or Bank Holidays.

THE CLIENT

Our client is a well-established builders merchant in the Midlands, serving trade and retail customers through a busy trade counter and dedicated bathroom and electrical showrooms.

It is a business people tend to stay with: the customer base is loyal, the product range is broad, and the team knows its trade.

THE ROLE

This is an entry point into showroom sales in the electrical department. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, helping customers choose electrical products, and learning the range and the trade as you go.

Commission kicks in after probation, and there is room to grow into a senior showroom role.

What success looks like in the first six months

• You have completed product and systems training and can handle most customer enquiries on your own.
• You are preparing quotes and following them up.
• Probation is complete and you are earning commission.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Customer Service

• Welcome showroom customers and help them find the right products.
• Advise on white goods, electrical accessories and fittings, with support from senior colleagues.
• Prepare quotes and follow up with customers.
• Serve trade customers such as electricians and builders.

Orders & Administration

• Process sales and orders accurately on the company system.
• Check stock, chase deliveries and keep customers updated.
• Handle queries and returns courteously.

Showroom

• Keep displays tidy, priced and well stocked.
• Build your product knowledge through training and supplier days.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Essential

• Some experience in retail, customer service or sales.
• Keen to learn and to build a career in sales.

Desirable

• An interest in electrical products, lighting or home improvement.

No electrical background is required – full product training is provided.
