Our client is a long-established Irish wholesale and distribution company serving the Hardware, Plumbing, Electrical, and Industrial trades nationwide. Established in the late 1970s and based in Dublin, the company supplies professional tools, consumables, and safety products to trade customers including hardware and homeware retailers, co-ops, agricultural suppliers, and industrial outlets.
They distribute well-known brands, offering everything from power tools and abrasives to safety wear, plumbing sealants, and fastenings.

The Role
The successful candidate will join an established sales team of four, supported by a dedicated two-person internal sales team. This is a field-based role covering a large territory across Munster and Connacht, including the counties of Kerry, Cork, Limerick, Clare, Mayo, Sligo, Galway, Longford, Leitrim, Roscommon, Westmeath, and Tipperary.
The focus is approximately 40% account management and 60% new business development. You’ll manage existing customers while actively identifying and onboarding new trade accounts across the region.
This is a hands-on, relationship-led role that requires regular customer visits, strong product presentation skills, and the ability to tailor solutions that add value to each customer’s business.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and grow existing customer relationships across the assigned territory.
· Prospect and win new trade accounts through planned journey cycles.
· Present and demonstrate a wide range of hardware and industrial products.
· Provide technical understanding of key product ranges.
· Maintain regular contact with customers and ensure high service standards.
· Work collaboratively with internal sales and management teams to deliver growth targets.
The Ideal Candidate
· Proven experience in field sales within the hardware, industrial, or related sectors.
· Strong relationship-builder with the ability to deliver consultative, solutions-based sales.
· Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently on the road.
· Full clean driving licence required.
· Ideally living in Limerick or Tipperary to allow ease of access across the territory.
Package
· Basic Salary: €38,000 – €40,000
