Established MEP engineering firm seeks an Electrical Engineer to design building electrical systems for commercial and institutional projects.

Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems
• Develop initial design approaches for major facility projects and coordinate engineering work
• Prepare technical specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates
• Coordinate with city, state, and county officials on project approvals and permitting
• Serve as liaison between clients, agencies, and design teams to resolve complex issues
• Participate in construction administration including site observations and bid support
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff on project assignments
• Review plans and ensure code compliance throughout project delivery

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required
• PE license required
• 5-9 years of progressive experience in building systems design
• Strong understanding of electrical design for commercial and institutional facilities
• Experience with power systems, lighting design, and fire alarm integration
• Proficiency in Revit and electrical design software
• Excellent coordination and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor junior staff
