Overview:


Join a dynamic team as a Project Engineer in North Charleston. This role involves civil engineering land development, infrastructure design, and construction document preparation. Ideal candidates have 6+ years of experience and are proficient in Civil 3D.


Responsibilities:


  • Work on civil site/land development design, permitting, and construction observation.
  • Use Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D for project design.
  • Prepare technical calculations for storm drainage, water distribution, BMP, underground detention, and sanitary sewer systems.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and calculations for compliance.
  • Conduct preliminary engineering evaluations, including quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
  • Manage project and staff schedules.
  • Serve as a point-of-contact for projects, interacting with clients, review agencies, and contractors.
  • Attend meetings and perform site visits, preparing field reports.
  • Coordinate field testing such as water pressure, gravity sewer, and manhole vacuum testing.
  • Mentor junior team members.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
  • 6+ years of civil engineering design and project management experience.
  • PE Licensure in South Carolina preferred, or the ability to obtain licensure.
  • Proficient in Civil 3D, ICPR, SedCAD, Hydraflow, HydroCAD, WaterCAD, and Autodesk Vehicle Tracking.
  • Strong communication skills and a desire for continuous learning.
  • Must pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record.
