Overview:
A leading engineering, surveying, and planning firm is looking for a Project Manager experienced in civil engineering land development and infrastructure design.
This position, based in Cornelius, NC, offers a dynamic environment where leadership and technical skills can flourish!
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team through the design, permitting, and construction observation of a variety of projects including residential, commercial, institutional, and municipal.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with team members, clients, contractors, and review agencies.
- Provide training and mentoring to junior staff, fostering professional growth and development.
- Manage project schedules, staff assignments, and the preparation of engineering proposals.
- Handle monthly invoicing for projects under management.
- Perform detailed design tasks using Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software for land development projects.
- Conduct technical reviews of project documentation to ensure compliance with goals and regulatory requirements.
- Attend client meetings and perform site visits to ensure project specifications and quality standards are met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- At least 5 years of relevant civil engineering design and project management experience.
- PE Licensure or actively pursuing licensure in North Carolina and/or South Carolina preferred.
- Proficient in Civil 3D and familiar with ICPR, SedCAD, Hydraflow Hydrographs, Hydraflow Storm Sewers, HydroCAD, and WaterCAD.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively lead a design team.
- Must pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record.
