Optimum Staffing Solutions is partnered with a leading manufacturing company that is looking to add a Sr. Electrical Engineer to their team!


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer who enjoys working on mobile equipment and vehicle electrical systems in a manufacturing environment. This is an in-office position located in Houston, TX and is focused on the design and development of low-voltage electrical systems, vehicle integration, and embedded controls.


Skills you need / What you will do


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Experience designing low-voltage electrical systems, wiring harnesses, electrical schematics, and vehicle electrical layouts
  • Strong knowledge of CAN Bus (J1939 preferred), vehicle electronics, embedded controls, and vehicle integration
  • Support production by troubleshooting electrical issues, conducting testing, and collaborating with manufacturing, vendors, and cross-functional engineering teams
  • Develop electrical drawings, bills of material, CAD models, technical documentation, DFMEAs, and design reviews
  • Experience supporting mobile equipment, off-highway vehicles, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, rail equipment, or similar products
  • Familiarity with generator systems and electrical testing methods
  • Organized, self-motivated engineer with strong communication skills who can take direction while independently finding solutions
