We’re partnering with a leading Fintech company to hire an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support their high-performing Engineering organization. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity where you’ll serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leadership and help scale people operations in alignment with an award-winning company culture.

What You’ll Do
- Partner closely with Engineering and technical leadership to align people initiatives with business objectives and company values.
- Support the delivery and execution of core HR programs such as performance management, employee engagement, talent planning, and total rewards.
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations, local employment practices (specifically in Canada), and regional implementation of global HR strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and Learning & Development teams to ensure a seamless employee experience.
- Shape and drive strategic HR initiatives including development weeks, leadership training, internal mobility, and organizational design.
- Use people analytics and data-driven insights to inform leadership decisions and monitor the health of the organization.
- Lead or contribute to HR and business transformation projects, including change management and organizational effectiveness.
- Serve as a cultural ambassador—driving engagement, inclusion, and a sense of belonging within a fast-paced, distributed team.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in HR business partnering, with strong knowledge of Canadian labor law and employee relations practices.
- Previous experience supporting Engineering or Product teams within a fast-paced tech or fintech environment.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and coach leaders at all levels while building high-trust relationships across an organization.
- Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple projects across global teams.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and business needs.
- Experience supporting change management, M&A/integration work, or hypergrowth environments is a plus.
- Excellent communication, listening, and stakeholder management skills.
