Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract (12 months)

We’re partnering with a leading Fintech company to hire an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support their high-performing Engineering organization. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity where you’ll serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leadership and help scale people operations in alignment with an award-winning company culture.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, brings a “no-job-too-small” mindset, and is eager to make an immediate impact on talent strategy, organizational design, and leadership development.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner closely with Engineering and technical leadership to align people initiatives with business objectives and company values.
  • Support the delivery and execution of core HR programs such as performance management, employee engagement, talent planning, and total rewards.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, local employment practices (specifically in Canada), and regional implementation of global HR strategies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and Learning & Development teams to ensure a seamless employee experience.
  • Shape and drive strategic HR initiatives including development weeks, leadership training, internal mobility, and organizational design.
  • Use people analytics and data-driven insights to inform leadership decisions and monitor the health of the organization.
  • Lead or contribute to HR and business transformation projects, including change management and organizational effectiveness.
  • Serve as a cultural ambassador—driving engagement, inclusion, and a sense of belonging within a fast-paced, distributed team.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in HR business partnering, with strong knowledge of Canadian labor law and employee relations practices.
  • Previous experience supporting Engineering or Product teams within a fast-paced tech or fintech environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and coach leaders at all levels while building high-trust relationships across an organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple projects across global teams.
  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and business needs.
  • Experience supporting change management, M&A/integration work, or hypergrowth environments is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A passion for building inclusive, people-first cultures and enabling others to thrive.

This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys being a builder and thrives in fast-moving, collaborative environments. If you're passionate about people, culture, and helping leaders grow—this could be your next big move.
