A well-established law firm in Chicago is seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to support its litigation team while managing corporate contracts. This role is designed to allow litigators to focus on advocacy while ensuring seamless contract administration.
The Role:
We are looking for a Litigation Paralegal who will take ownership of corporate contracts and administrative matters, allowing commercial litigators to focus on litigation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in litigation procedures and contract management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, draft, and review corporate contracts, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Support attorneys with case preparation, including legal research, document review, and case file management.
- Coordinate discovery, including drafting responses, managing e-discovery platforms, and preparing exhibits.
- File pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in both state and federal courts.
- Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel regarding case progress and deadlines.
- Maintain case calendars, track deadlines, and organize case files.
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing trial binders and exhibits.
Qualifications:

3+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and e-filing systems in Illinois state and federal courts.
- Experience drafting and reviewing corporate contracts is highly preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in legal research databases (Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software.
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certification required.
