Director of Sales
Location: Austin, TX (On-site 4 days/week)
Compensation: $250,000–$350,000 OTE (50/50 split) + Equity Options
Employment Type: Full-Time. 4 Days a week onsite.
A rapidly scaling fintech SaaS company—backed by a recent Series A round and growing 500% year-over-year—is looking for a Director of Sales to build and lead its sales org from the ground up.
This is a unique opportunity to own new logo revenue, shape the GTM model, and hire the team that will drive exponential growth across the $70B+ services payments landscape. Reporting directly to the COO, you'll operate as a hands-on player-coach, balancing strategic vision with tactical execution.
What You’ll Do
- Drive New Logo Growth
- Own the full-cycle new logo sales process—from outbound prospecting and inbound lead conversion to deal negotiation and close.
- Build and Scale the Sales Org
- Recruit, coach, and develop SDRs, BDRs, AEs, and sales managers; create structured onboarding, playbooks, and career paths.
- Design Outbound & Inbound Engines
- Launch and refine multi-channel outbound strategies (calls, email, LinkedIn, AI). Optimize lead scoring and inbound workflows to maximize conversion.
- Innovate the GTM Model
- Refine segmentation, outreach tactics, and tech stack. Introduce automation and AI tooling to improve velocity and conversion.
- Foster a High-Performance Culture
- Set clear expectations, lead with urgency, and embed company values of grit, ownership, and exponential value into team rituals.
- Drive Operational & Data Excellence
- Build forecasting and pipeline visibility using AI and CRM analytics. Implement scalable reporting and dashboarding frameworks.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally
- Align closely with Marketing, RevOps, Product, and Customer Success to ensure a smooth GTM motion and high-impact feedback loops.

- Design effective, motivating compensation plans that align with company goals and reward high performers.
What You Bring
- Sales Org Builder
- Experience building and scaling high-growth SaaS sales teams (SDR, AE, management) from scratch.
- Proven SaaS Leadership
- 8+ years in B2B SaaS sales (SMB or Mid-Market), with at least 4 years in leadership roles. Consistent record of exceeding new logo revenue targets.
- Full Revenue Ownership
- Deep understanding of outbound-driven sales environments. Proven ability to own the full funnel and hit ARR goals.
- Hands-On & Strategic
- Comfortable closing strategic deals while improving process and execution across the team. Operates well in ambiguity and scale-up environments.
- Sales Tech & AI Fluency
- Strong knowledge of modern sales tech and AI-driven prospecting, lead scoring, and reporting tools.
- Executive Presence
- Skilled in C-level conversations, commercial negotiations, and communicating both technical and business value.
- Team-First Leadership
- Passionate about mentorship and talent development. Known for building high-retention, high-performance teams.
- Fintech/Accounting Domain (Bonus)
- Experience selling to accounting firms, CFOs, or bookkeeping professionals is a strong plus.
