We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience in employee benefits law to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling matters related to ERISA, HIPAA, and employee benefit plans. Exposure to Taft-Hartley plans and multi-employer pension plans is highly preferred. This is a great opportunity for a motivated attorney to work in a collaborative environment while gaining hands-on experience with a variety of benefits-related legal matters.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on ERISA compliance, HIPAA regulations, and other employee benefit matters.
  • Assist in plan drafting, administration, and compliance for multi-employer and single-employer benefit plans.
  • Represent clients in regulatory matters involving the IRS, DOL, and PBGC.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Support senior attorneys in negotiations, audits, and litigation related to employee benefit plans.
  • Work closely with labor unions, trustees, and plan administrators on Taft-Hartley fund matters.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • 1-3 years of experience practicing in employee benefits law.
  • Strong knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, and other employee benefits regulations.
  • Experience with multi-employer pension plans and Taft-Hartley plans is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Admitted to practice law in Illinois (or eligibility for admission).
