Job Opportunity: Director of Sales (Fintech/SaaS)

Comp Range: $250,000 – $350,000 OTE
Location: Austin, TX (4 days per week in-office)
The Opportunity
A trailblazing Fintech company that recently secured a $20M Series A and achieved 500% year-over-year growth is seeking an elite Director of Sales. This firm is transforming the $74B services payments market by eliminating billing and collections friction through a world-class automated platform.
We are looking for a high-ownership, "get-your-hands-dirty" leader to build the sales organization from the ground up. This is not a "sit back and delegate" role; we need a "player-coach" who thrives on grit, urgency, and the challenge of scaling a startup environment.
The Role
Reporting directly to the COO, you will own the new logo revenue engine end-to-end. You will be responsible for building, hiring, and managing a multi-tiered sales org, including managing Team Leads who oversee BDRs, SDRs, and AEs.
Key Responsibilities

Scale the Org: Hire, train, and mentor a high-performance team. You will specifically manage team leads and managers, creating clear career paths and a culture of accountability.

Revenue Ownership: Drive the full sales cycle from outbound pipeline creation to inbound conversion and closing strategic deals.

Process Innovation: Refine GTM strategy, segmentation, and outreach tactics, leveraging modern sales tech and AI-driven automation.

Strategic Player-Coach: Personally lead high-stakes negotiations and strategic deals while simultaneously coaching your team on discovery, demos, and closing.

Data-Driven Excellence: Utilize CRM and analytics to provide accurate forecasting and track KPIs that drive deal velocity.

Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to ensure a seamless customer journey.
Qualifications

Leadership Depth: 8+ years in B2B SaaS (SMB/Mid-Market) with at least 2 years in a leadership role managing other sales managers/team leads in high-growth environments.

Startup Pedigree: Proven experience building a sales organization from scratch. You must be comfortable with the ambiguity and pace of a Series A startup.

Full-Cycle Expertise: A track record of exceeding quotas in outbound-driven environments, owning everything from lead gen to close.

Domain Knowledge: A Bachelor’s/MBA in Finance/Accounting OR 2+ years of experience in Fintech, Payments, or Financial SaaS. (Experience selling to CFOs or accounting firms is a major plus).
