AI Solution Architect / Lead Builder
Location: 100% Remote (East Coast, Central, or Mountain Time)
Travel: Low (~10–15% for project kickoffs and key enterprise client milestones)
Industry Domain: Enterprise Healthcare Modernization & AI Transformation
Base Compensation Target: $190,000 - $220,000 (flexible based on experience)
Role Overview
On behalf of our client, a leading digital transformation consulting firm, we are seeking an AI Solution Architect to bridge the gap between full-stack application architecture, executive business strategy, and modern AI acceleration.
This role requires a true broad-spectrum architect and hands-on builder. You will be equally comfortable designing, architecting, and building surrounding enterprise applications (web apps, mobile, APIs, microservices) as you are integrating under-the-hood AI capabilities (Agentic workflows, Generative AI platforms, and custom logic). Working directly with client leadership and enterprise C-suites, you will translate complex operational challenges into modern technical strategy, rapid prototypes, and production-ready enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities
-
Full-Spectrum Application & AI Architecture: Architect end-to-end enterprise software solutions—designing scalable web applications, mobile platforms, APIs, and cloud infrastructure alongside under-the-hood AI components.
-
Executive Advisory & Client Leadership: Present directly to enterprise client executives (CEOs, CTOs, VPs), leading AI enablement initiatives and converting complex technical concepts into actionable business roadmaps.
-
AI-Accelerated SDLC Integration: Embed AI tools across every stage of the software delivery lifecycle—from initial discovery and PRD authoring to architectural trade-off analysis, epic/story refinement, automated testing, and code generation.
-
Rapid Prototyping & Execution: Compress traditional delivery timelines by turning complex business requirements into functional MVPs, application components, and operational tools in hours or days rather than weeks.
-
Legacy System Modernization: Lead greenfield replacement efforts for enterprise clients, transitioning legacy operational engines into flexible, modern, AI-first platforms.
Qualifications & Requirements
-
Foundational Engineering DNA: Strong, proven track record as a Senior Engineer or Solution Architect across modern application development (React, Node, Python, .NET/C#, REST APIs, Microservices) established prior to adopting modern AI workflows.
-
Active AI-First Practice (2+ Years): Hands-on experience leveraging modern AI toolkits (Claude, Cursor, Agentic frameworks, custom LLM pipelines) across the entire software development lifecycle.
-
Executive Presence & Consultative Polish: Exceptional communication skills with the confidence to command a room, facilitate client enablement, and guide non-technical executives through key technical decisions.
-
Healthcare / Payer Domain Knowledge (Plus): Prior experience in Healthcare Insurance (Payer/Provider, TPA/Third-Party Administration, claims processing, HIPAA-regulated environments) is highly preferred.
-
Pragmatic Builder Mindset: A strong bias toward shipping practical, scalable code and working prototypes over over-engineering.
Technical Environment (Flexible)
-
Cloud & Infrastructure: Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP
-
Backend Systems: .NET / C#, Python, Node.js, or equivalent enterprise backend frameworks
-
Frontend & Mobile: React, modern web application frameworks, React Native / mobile topologies
-
AI Tooling & Workflows: Agentic AI, Generative AI, offline/CAG AI frameworks, Cursor, Claude, custom LLM integration
