Head of Advisor Development & Recruitment

Our Partner is hiring a driven, strategic Head of Advisor Development & Recruitment to build and lead the new Advisor Development and Placement Program - a national initiative to attract, train, and prepare the next generation of financial advisors.


This role is ideal for a natural recruiter who loves matching people to opportunity, developing talent, and building a high-performing community. You’ll manage the entire pipeline: from attracting college students into the community and placing them with partner firms.

Key Responsibilities


Program Leadership

  • Launch and lead our partner’s Advisor Development and Placement Program, designed to prepare advisors to be more hirable.
  • Build and manage a student-facing community (mirroring the Company’s advisor Circle community) focused on professional readiness, mentorship, and engagement.
  • Develop and manage partnerships with colleges and universities offering CFP® programs (approx. 160+ nationwide).
  • Oversee all aspects of the brand and community—from messaging to execution.
  • Design and deliver a high-quality student experience: workshops, webinars, mentorship, and community engagement.


Candidate Development

  • Design and implement the advisor ranking framework: 1 Star → 5-Star Recruit.
  • Track and report candidate progress and placement outcomes.


Recruitment & Placement Oversight

  • Manage relationships with top advisory firms seeking entry-level or associate advisors.
  • Build and lead a recruiting pipeline of college students interested in financial advising.
  • Integrate candidate assessments (Kolbe A, SparkHire video interviews, coursework tracking).


Community & Marketing

  • Mirror the Company’s advisor Circle community to create a student version that drives engagement and learning.
  • Work with Sten and the media team to produce welcome and training videos.
  • Ensure consistent communication, energy, and engagement in the student community.


Operations & Reporting

  • Define and track key KPIs: student signups, firm partnerships, placements, and 5-Star certifications.
  • Report weekly progress and quarterly

Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years of experience in recruiting or talent development.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Proven success building talent pipelines and managing placement partnerships.
  • Background in financial services, CFP education, or advisor recruiting is a strong plus.
  • Understanding of CFP programs, financial advisor career paths, or financial services recruiting is a strong plus.
  • Experience building partnerships with schools, associations, or firms is a plus



Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $70,000–$80,000 depending on experience
  • Commission: 5%-15%
  • 401k + PTO



Success Metrics

  • College Outreach Program launched by Q2 2026
  • 40+ CFP school partnerships secured in Year 1
  • 250+ students enrolled in the community
  • Matches and placements achieved quarterly
  • Regular reporting and growth targets met
