Our client is seeking a mid to senior level trade support engineer for a contract to hire opportunity in NYC.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: The Mission

You will be the critical link ensuring market integrity and operational excellence across our most complex product offerings, from spot trading to high-volume derivatives. Your mission is to secure the flow of capital and data with zero-tolerance for error:

• Global Settlement Oversight: Mastermind the timely settlement of all digital assets, fiat, and collateral movements, working across time zones with internal Trading, Product, Finance, and external institutional partners.
• Rapid Trade Resolution: Act as the first line of defense against trade breaks and discrepancies. Rapidly diagnose, communicate, and resolve complex trade issues by liaising directly with our elite traders, executing counterparties, and liquidity venues.
• Operational Integration & Automation: Drive efficiency by providing subject-matter expertise on exchange and banking connectivity, ensuring new data feeds are seamlessly integrated into our core operational and reconciliation processes.
• Complex Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Own the rigorous reconciliation of positions and cash balances across various business lines, including those underpinning proprietary stablecoin issuances and critical global payments products.
• System Integrity & Bookkeeping: Accurately record all derivatives and trading transactions in our core systems of record, maintaining impeccable bookkeeping entries that reflect all product activity and operational events.
• 24x7 Readiness: Provide expert operational coverage and support for a globally distributed, institutional customer base, ensuring our 24x7 product suite maintains uninterrupted service.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING: The Profile

We require a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a high-intensity financial environment with the following proven skills:

• Front-to-Back Office Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience in trade support, middle office, or high-volume trading operations, with proven ability to bridge the gap between execution and settlement.
• Precision Under Pressure: Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with a demonstrated ability to problem-solve quickly and maintain organization and control amidst high market volatility and dynamic environments.
• Advanced Market Acumen: A broad and current understanding of high-frequency instruments and market structure (e.g., OTC derivatives, crypto perpetual futures, options, swaps), including robust data capture and multi-asset reconciliation principles.
• Technical Fluency: High proficiency in advanced data and modeling tools, including Excel and VBA for rapid scenario analysis and reporting.
• Data Command (A Powerful Plus): Strong working knowledge of SQL (writing queries for daily operations) is highly valued, demonstrating the ability to independently extract and analyze large datasets to drive operational insights and resolution.
