Job Overview


Our partner is seeking motivated detail-oriented Carrier Sales Representatives to join their logistics and transportation team. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with trucking carriers, negotiating freight rates, and ensuring timely movement of shipments for our customers. Ideal candidates are strong communicators with a competitive mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Source, qualify, and secure carriers to move freight across various lanes.
  • Negotiate rates and terms with carriers to maximize profitability while ensuring service quality.
  • Develop and maintain carrier relationships to build a reliable transportation network.
  • Monitor shipment status and provide updates to ensure on-time pick-up and delivery.
  • Resolve service issues and proactively handle disruptions in transportation.
  • Maintain accurate records of carrier agreements, load details, and communication.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and customer service teams to meet client expectations.
  • Stay up to date on market conditions, industry trends, and carrier capacity.


Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or carrier sales (at least 1 year required unless candidate is exceptional).
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform under pressure.
