Drafter | Premier AEC Tech Consultancy (Onsite @ World Trade Center in NYC)

The Opportunity Cruit Group has been retained by a leading AEC (Architecture, Engineering, & Construction) technology consultancy to find a sharp, precision-focused Drafter to join their team on-site at the World Trade Center. Our client sits at the unique intersection of high-end structural engineering and cutting-edge BIM/VDC technology.

We aren’t looking for a specific degree, we are looking for a technical specialist who understands how buildings are put together and wants to work on the most iconic skyline in the world.

The Environment

You will be based in the heart of Lower Manhattan, working 5 days a week in a high-energy, collaborative office. This is an environment that rewards "quick studies"—people who can take complex engineering direction and translate it into flawless documentation without being micromanaged.

The Mission

• Technical Execution: Produce high-quality, precise technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Interdisciplinary Support: Collaborate with structural and civil engineering teams to draft complex site plans, framing, and reinforcement details.
• Standards Elevation: Ensure all drawings meet rigorous NYC building standards and the firm's proprietary technical workflows.
• Rapid Adaptation: Master new project-specific drafting styles and software integrations at lightning speed.

You're a fit if:

• Experience: Proven track record working within an engineering firm (Structural or Civil experience is highly preferred).
• Technical Mastery: Advanced, professional-level proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Structural Intuition: Experience in structural detailing is a significant advantage, but not a dealbreaker if you are a "sharp" learner.
• The Edge: You are a quick learner who catches the details others miss. You don't need a college degree to excel here—your portfolio, your speed, and your technical "street smarts" are what matter.
• Logistics: Ability to work 100% on-site at the World Trade Center, NYC.
