Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated Labor & Employment Associate Attorney with 3 to 5 years of dedicated experience to join a thriving practice.
This role offers immediate, hands-on experience and direct client contact. The ideal candidate will be prepared to "jump right in," handling administrative charge responses, client counseling, and traditional labor matters from day one.
Key Responsibilities

Agency Defense & Position Statements: Draft compelling, strategic position statements and defend employers against EEOC, NLRB, and state/local agency administrative charges.

Client Counseling & Compliance: Provide daily actionable advice to management and HR executives regarding workplace accommodations (ADA), leave policies (FMLA), wage & hour, disciplining/terminations, and overall statutory compliance.

Traditional Labor: Assist with National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) matters, unfair labor practice (ULP) charges, labor contract administration, and collective bargaining support.

Arbitration & Litigation: Ideally represent employers in labor arbitration hearings, grievance proceedings, and related L&E litigation.
Qualifications & Skills

Experience: 3–5 years of focused experience in labor and employment law (defense side strongly preferred).
- Core Competencies:
- Proven track record drafting position statements for EEOC and state anti-discrimination agencies.
- Demonstrated familiarity with traditional labor law (NLRB practice and Taft-Hartley compliance).
- Solid mastery of FMLA, ADA, Title VII, ADEA, and related federal and state employment statutes.

Preferred Experience: First-hand experience preparing for and handling labor arbitration hearings.

Credentials: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active bar admission in good standing in [State].
