Store Manager

Anaheim CA

This is a new and exciting retail concept that blends the warmth of community-driven Hispanic markets with the efficiency and service standards of modern retail. We’re launching our pilot store — and we’re looking for a dynamic leader to set the tone, build the team, and bring the Lavarama vision to life.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced, bilingual Store Manager or Assistant Manager with a background in Hispanic supermarket operations — ideally from Vallarta Markets, Northgate González Markets, Cardenas Markets, El Super Markets, or Superior Grocers.

This isn’t just a store management role — it’s an opportunity to build something from the ground up. You’ll recruit, train, and inspire your team while ensuring that every customer experience reflects our core values of warmth, service, and efficiency.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and build a high-performing store team from scratch.
  • Drive sales and profitability through strong cost control, margin discipline, and operational focus.
  • Ensure operational excellence in cleanliness, merchandising, and customer service.
  • Create and sustain a positive, community-oriented store culture aligned with our values.
  • Monitor and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) with consistency and accountability.

Key KPIs

  • Gross Margin: ≥ 30%
  • Shrink / Waste: < 1% of sales
  • Customer Satisfaction: ≥ 4.5 / 5
  • Staff Turnover: < 10% monthly
  • Attendance: ≥ 95%
  • Inventory Accuracy: ≥ 98%
  • Daily Huddles / Weekly Reports: 100% completion

Compensation & Rewards

  • Base Salary: Competitive, aligned with Hispanic supermarket management roles
  • Performance Bonus: Based on achievement of sales, margin, and operational KPIs
  • Profit-Sharing Bonus: Linked to net profit results and increases with tenure — rewarding loyalty, consistency, and long-term success

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • 3–5+ years of management experience in Hispanic grocery retail
  • Hands-on, disciplined, and entrepreneurial
  • Proven ability to recruit, train, and develop high-performing teams
  • Passionate about community, culture, and operational excellence
  • A leader who leads by example and takes pride in store performance

Why Join Us?

This is your chance to be part of something new — to help launch and shape the first our store, with the potential to grow as the brand expands. You’ll have autonomy, impact, and the opportunity to create a store culture rooted in respect, service, and pride. #LI-LH1
