Role Overview


We’re seeking an experienced and analytical Director of Performance Marketing to lead our paid acquisition and growth marketing strategy. This individual will be responsible for driving measurable customer acquisition growth through full-funnel performance channels, while exploring new opportunities for scalable, cost-efficient expansion. You will be expected to bring a strategic mindset and hands-on execution skills to test, iterate, and optimize paid and owned channels. You will also be instrumental in integrating customer and behavioral data into our marketing infrastructure to drive personalization and performance improvements across campaigns. This role will take a leadership position in our Lawn & Pest business marketing, leading these key business unit launches as we look to rapidly expand our customer base. As a key member of the marketing team, you’ll work cross-functionally with teams across sales, development, and operations to ensure a holistic view of the customer journey. This role is a unique opportunity to shape and scale the performance marketing function at a growing company and to have a direct impact on customer growth and business results.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Northern New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities


Channel Strategy & Execution

  • Lead the end-to-end strategy, execution, and optimization of all paid performance marketing
  • Channels, including paid search, paid social, display, video, affiliate, and emerging platforms.
  • Design and implement channel-specific plans that align with customer acquisition goals and return on investment (ROI) targets.
  • Maintain and expand a robust testing roadmap, continuously evaluating new platforms and strategies to drive growth.
  • Run the go-to-market and BAU strategy for our new and expanding Lawn and Pest divisions, helping create the framework for success across these verticals.


Data Integration & Marketing Systems

  • Collaborate with internal development and data teams to integrate first-party customer data with advertising and marketing platforms.
  • Improve audience segmentation, targeting precision, and measurement capabilities through deeper data connectivity across tools like CRM, CDP, and ad platforms.
  • Own the strategy and implementation of attribution frameworks to accurately track performance across all touchpoints.


Vendor & Partner Management

  • Manage relationships with digital agencies, media buyers, and technology vendors to ensure they deliver high-quality performance and align with brand goals.
  • Lead negotiations and renewals for all paid media partnerships and third-party martech platforms.
  • Set clear KPIs for external partners and ensure accountability for deliverables and outcomes.


Budget Management & Forecasting

  • Own the paid media budget, including monthly forecasting, spend allocation, and pacing to maximize impact within financial guardrails.
  • Partner with finance and leadership to develop acquisition plans that align with company-level revenue targets.


Reporting & Insights

  • Define and report on key performance metrics (e.g., CAC, ROAS, conversion rate, LTV/CAC ratio) at weekly, monthly, and quarterly intervals.
  • Synthesize campaign learnings into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Communicate results clearly to stakeholders, including the VP of Marketing and ethe xecutive leadership team.


Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in performance marketing, growth marketing, or digital media, with at least 3 years in a senior or director-level role.
  • Demonstrated success managing and scaling multi-channel campaigns with quantifiable ROI improvements.
  • Strong analytical acumen with a deep understanding of marketing attribution, customer segmentation, and conversion rate optimization.
  • Experience with offline-to-online measurement and local market dynamics.
  • Expertise in tools such as Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, Google Analytics (GA4), Power BI, The Trade Desk, and marketing attribution platforms.
  • Experience working directly with engineering and data teams to build and refine marketing data pipelines.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in or familiarity with the home services or local services industry.
  • Prior experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment.
  • Working knowledge of lifecycle marketing, retention strategies, and post-acquisition funnel optimization.
