Job Title: Electrical Engineer, Power Systems Protection

What You’ll Do
- Develop protection settings for generators, transformers, transmission lines, and substations
- Design and implement protective relay schemes for utility-scale systems
- Perform short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies using ETAP or similar tools
- Analyze relay event reports and fault data to determine root cause
- Support commissioning, testing, and energization activities in the field
- Ensure compliance with NERC, NEC, and utility standards
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in power systems with strong protection focus
- Hands-on experience with:
- Protective relays and system coordination
- Generator protection, excitation systems, and controls
- High-voltage and utility-scale systems
- Experience with ETAP or similar modeling software
- Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex system events
Preferred
- Utility-scale generation, renewables, or EPC experience
- Exposure to NERC compliance and grid operations
- Field or commissioning experience
