Job Title: Electrical Engineer, Power Systems Protection

Location: On-site

Join a growing engineering team working on utility-scale power systems and generation assets. This is a highly technical, hands-on role where you will directly impact grid reliability, system protection, and large-scale energy infrastructure.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop protection settings for generators, transformers, transmission lines, and substations
  • Design and implement protective relay schemes for utility-scale systems
  • Perform short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies using ETAP or similar tools
  • Analyze relay event reports and fault data to determine root cause
  • Support commissioning, testing, and energization activities in the field
  • Ensure compliance with NERC, NEC, and utility standards


What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in power systems with strong protection focus
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Protective relays and system coordination
  • Generator protection, excitation systems, and controls
  • High-voltage and utility-scale systems
  • Experience with ETAP or similar modeling software
  • Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex system events


Preferred

  • Utility-scale generation, renewables, or EPC experience
  • Exposure to NERC compliance and grid operations
  • Field or commissioning experience
