Position: General Manager

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (On-site)

Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 Base Salary (Depending on experience)

The Opportunity: Transformational Leadership in a High-Impact Market

Are you a high-accountability operator who excels at revitalizing underperforming locations? We are seeking a General Manager for a prominent thrift retail operation in Pittsburgh. This is not a "maintenance" role; we are looking for a decisive leader to spearhead a comprehensive turnaround of a high-volume site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Management: Take full ownership of the store’s P&L, focusing on driving top-line sales and aggressively managing labor costs and inventory loss.
  • Operational Leadership: Prioritize and streamline the backroom production process to ensure a constant flow of fresh merchandise to the sales floor.
  • Team Development: Direct, coach, and hold accountable department managers to build a high-performance culture.
  • Culture Transformation: Stabilize a workforce by improving morale, reducing turnover, and implementing consistent performance standards.
  • Hands-on Execution: Maintain a visible presence on the floor, balancing administrative duties with active coaching in a fast-paced, gritty retail environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • The "Fixer" Profile: You have a proven track record of entering challenging environments, identifying operational gaps, and staying to ensure long-term stability.
  • Background: Experience in high-volume, metric-driven retail or grocery environments (e.g., Department or Store Manager roles) where you managed diverse teams through others.
  • Adaptability: You can pivot quickly between high-level financial analysis and "in the weeds" operational tasks.
  • Resilience: You possess the necessary to manage a busy, noisy, and bustling environment while maintaining professional standards.
  • Training Commitment: Ability to travel for an initial month-long immersion program at a top-performing national location.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, Teams, and HRIS platforms.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are highly valued but not required.
