Position: VP of Drilling and Completion
The VP of Drilling and Completion will lead and optimize drilling performance for geothermal energy projects. This pivotal role involves strategic planning, technical expertise, and operational leadership to ensure successful drilling operations that maximize productivity and minimize costs in a safe environment. The VP will lead and manage drilling teams, establish a technical department with expertise in drilling techniques, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. The role includes developing and managing budgets, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and mentoring team members to promote a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence. The Vice President of Drilling and Completion oversees all drilling operations and ensures safe and efficient execution.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for all drilling activities within the company.
- Review and evaluate potential new projects and opportunities.
- Prepare and execute drilling plans and budgets, including managing contractors and suppliers
- Oversee and manage drilling operations on-site.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Coordinate with drilling crews, contractors, and service providers.
- Collaboration / troubleshooting, with a sound understanding of the construction industry's safety regulations, environmental compliance requirements, and risk management practices.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Manage the company operations of Drilling product/service systems
- Act as the primary resource on all issues related to the execution of services, including cost/budget compliance, execution, and resource allocation
- Drive efficiencies and creates operational service synergies across product line
- Responsible for customer satisfaction within Drilling
- Partner with Human Resources to implement and refine policies and procedures, review employee performance, development, and technical training
- Recommend targets for quality and reliability, utilization, spend on tools and provides overall vision for operations in the appointed scope
Requirements and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as geology, petroleum engineering, geothermal engineering, civil engineering, or construction.
- 12+ years' experience in field and operations w/ supervisory and leadership experience.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving abilities, and a sound understanding of safety regulations, environmental compliance requirements, and risk management practices in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in software, data analysis tools, and project management systems
- Proven strategic planning and budgeting experience
- Demonstrated experience in setting, monitoring, and meeting quarterly and annual goals.
