Metrics is seeking a Lead Solidity Engineer for a company that has onboarded over 35 million wallets and supported over 190,000 developers in creating seamless blockchain experiences. They’re working toward creating a cross-chain network that fosters true interoperability and seamless user experiences across various blockchain ecosystems.


What You’ll Do

  • Design, implement, and deploy smart contracts to enhance functionality within a chain-abstracted smart account architecture using Solidity.
  • Develop robust frameworks, processes, and tools to ensure smart contract security and dependability.
  • Perform comprehensive testing to guarantee code quality and security.
  • Optimize smart contracts for gas efficiency and overall performance.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership, to transform technical and product vision into actionable strategies.
  • Work alongside ecosystem partners to align smart contract modules with industry standards and best practices.


What We’re Looking For

  • A strong security-first approach.
  • Solid technical knowledge of blockchain architecture and the EVM.
  • Proficiency in Solidity and a deep understanding of smart contract security.
  • Expertise in account abstraction.
  • 4+ years of experience in building and deploying high-quality smart contracts.
  • Familiarity with the full smart contract development lifecycle, from design to deployment, including performing security audits.
  • Experience working with layer 2 networks and cross-chain interoperability.
  • Knowledge of smart contract best practices and current industry trends.
  • Advanced skills with the Foundry toolkit and static code analysis.
  • Strong background in unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development for smart contracts.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with smart wallets built on ERC-4337 and ERC-7579 modules.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies like React and libraries like viem and permissionless.js.
  • Active participation in EIP discussions, with potential contributions of your own proposals.
  • Background in open-source contributions.
  • Experience in fast-growing companies and remote team collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Rust and the Solana/SVM ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of zero-knowledge technology.
  • Familiarity with Formal Verification methods.
