A rapidly growing company in the blockchain and cryptography space is hiring a Chief Information Security Officer to lead security as it transitions from early-stage adoption into production-scale deployment. The platform enables confidential smart contract infrastructure that secures real economic value and is increasingly being evaluated by enterprise and regulated financial institutions.
This is an executive-level role reporting directly to the CEO, responsible for ensuring systems, infrastructure, and engineering practices meet the security standards required to support high-value, on-chain financial use cases.
What You’ll Own
Security Strategy
Define and drive the overall security strategy, aligning priorities with the challenges of protecting cryptographic systems and high-value blockchain infrastructure.
Security Leadership
Lead and scale the security function, ensuring it evolves alongside company growth, product complexity, and an expanding threat landscape.
Compliance & Certifications
Own certification efforts such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and similar frameworks end-to-end, from initial gap analysis through audits and ongoing compliance.
Enterprise Readiness
Act as the senior security representative for customers, partners, and auditors, particularly financial institutions and regulated entities evaluating the platform for production use.
Corporate & Infrastructure Security
Strengthen internal systems across identity and access management, endpoint and cloud security, secrets management, CI/CD integrity, vendor risk, AI risk, and insider threat mitigation.
Incident Response
Establish and operationalize incident response frameworks to ensure readiness in detecting, containing, and communicating during security events.
Threat & Risk Landscape
Continuously assess evolving risks across blockchain infrastructure, cryptographic systems, and digital asset custody environments, adapting the security program accordingly.
