We’re partnering with a fast-growing consumer social marketplace that helps people form real friendships through high-quality local events. Their platform has already driven significant success for event hosts this year, and they are now looking to bring on their first dedicated Growth & Content Lead to own demand generation and set the foundation for how they launch and scale in new markets.

Role Overview

The mission of this role is simple and bold: drive 50% of attendees to events through growth, content, and acquisition efforts.

This person will shape the brand, build the marketing engine from scratch, and be the first hire on a lean GTM team focused entirely on driving event demand.

Why This Role Is Important

  • You’ll own user acquisition and event demand end-to-end.
  • You’ll set the tone for all future marketing hires and define the brand identity.
  • You’ll work closely with event hosts — when you fill their rooms, the entire ecosystem grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver 50% of attendees for events on the platform.
  • Build organic and viral demand through repeatable content frameworks.
  • Create, edit, and publish high-volume original content (especially video).
  • Run rapid content and growth experiments; double down on what works.
  • Collaborate with the GTM team to support new city launches and event activation strategies.

First 90 Days

  • Produce 50+ pieces of original content.
  • Demonstrate traction in driving real attendees to real events.
  • Build the first version of the marketing system and playbook for future hires.

Candidate Profile

  • High-agency, fast executor, and tapped into cutting-edge marketing trends.
  • Strong understanding of growth frameworks and first-principles thinking.
  • Able to share 100+ videos they’ve created and edited themselves (non-negotiable).
  • Skilled across video editing, design, and content creation.
  • Proven ability to build mindshare for a product across multiple communities.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments.
