Metrics Recruitment are looking for a Head of Community who will be responsible for the strategic development and execution of community engagement initiatives for a web3 marketing agency. The ideal candidate is passionate about web3 communities and possesses significant experience in leading and scaling community operations. This role requires overseeing an 8-10 person team, crafting 0-1 strategies, and either pioneering new community foundations or revitalizing ambassador programs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the leadership and growth of an 8-10 person team, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation within the community management domain.
  • Plan and execute a comprehensive 0-1 strategy for all community-related activities, including setting the groundwork for launching new communities or reigniting existing ambassador programs.
  • Work closely with the sales and strategy teams to integrate community initiatives into broader business objectives, enhancing the overall sales process.
  • Develop and implement targeted strategies for community building, selecting which communities to engage based on strategic objectives and potential impact.
  • Oversee strategy for community events, AMAs, workshops, and Twitter Spaces to build community and boost brand awareness.
  • Set and implement content strategy + communication campaigns to align with marketing strategies, ensuring cohesiveness around messaging and brand consistency.
  • Monitor community campaigns and track analytics to measure performance, gather data into actionable insights, and recommend strategic improvements based on community feedback and sentiment.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in community management, with a proven track record of taking community initiatives from inception to scale.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team focused on community management and engagement.
  • Proficient in using community platforms like Discord and Telegram, with a deep understanding of their functionalities.


Nice to have:

  • Crypto-native across the DeFi and Infrastructure sectors in each respective ecosystem.
  • Previous experience at a marketing/communications agency or other professional services environment.
  • Previous early-stage experience at a blue-chip crypto company.
  • Previous experience in web2 marketing/consulting before transitioning to crypto.
