The Personnel Consulting Group, on behalf of our client - a leading commercial glass and glazing subcontractor in Louisiana and the Gulf South, is looking for a self-motivated "Storefront Fabrication Shop Manager" to oversee our in-house aluminum fabrication operations in Mandeville, Louisiana. As the first glazing contractor in the state to achieve NACC certification, we are committed to quality, safety, and professionalism. This role can pay up to $120k base salary, based on experience.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Leading, training, mentoring, and scheduling shop team members to meet project deadlines.

- Reviewing shop drawings and installation instructions, and back-checking cut lists for accuracy.

- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating shop workflow from layout through assembly.

- Setting up fabrication machinery, tools, and workstations.

- Overseeing maintenance of shop equipment, including saws, compressors, and hydraulic punches.

- Ensuring safe loading and unloading of trucks and trailers for project deliveries.

- Tracking production, maintaining accurate shop records, and supporting continuous improvement.

- Managing facility upkeep across two shop buildings.

- Collaborating closely with project managers, field superintendents, and estimators to align fabrication with project goals.

The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience in a fabrication or manufacturing setting, strong communication skills, and the ability to read and interpret shop drawings and specifications. Hands-on experience with layout, fabrication, and assembly processes is essential, along with strong organizational and record-keeping skills. A dedication to safety, accuracy, and quality control is a must.
