 
  CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR
Position Summary
This position is essential to administering and advancing workflows of the Contracts Department. Position will own the timely execution of contract renewals, vendor terms and conditions review and approval, subcontractor management, federal and municipal contract compliance, and identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies, as well as work exception items to ensure proper handling of contract-related matters and aid in risk mitigation. This well organized, detail-oriented staff person will serve as a co-administrator of the Contract Lifecycle Management platform. The Contracts Administrator will assist in managing compliance with all processes, protocols and policies related to contracts, both internal and external, and handle general duties related to departmental/function processes and deliverables, or as may be assigned within the contract management department.
Education
· Minimum of Associate Degree; Contract Management, Paralegal or similar preferred
· Substantial work experience in contract management in substitution for Degree will be considered
· Bachelor Degree (BS/BA) or higher is preferred
· Beneficial but not mandatory: Notary, Professional Certification in Contracts or Procurement
Experience
· Minimum 5+ years working in a professional contracts/business/legal role
· Experience working with a Contract Lifecycle Management platform desired
· Experience working in contracts management a plus
· Experience working in the industrial sector a plus
· Experience producing valued outcomes in a timely manner with minimal supervision
· Experience with and understanding of process work-flows
Essential Functions
· This job is demanding in terms of knowledge, skills, commitment, and all other job-related qualifications. Urgency and pressure for prompt, accurate results are routine. The job requires the handling of multiple tasks with frequent unexpected interruptions. The job calls for the responsiveness and energy to work long hours and cover a wide scope without sacrificing pace. While training in certain subject matter is offered, the successful candidate must be diligent in self-driven learning and process improvement.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and methodologies relative to contracts
· Collaborate with other internal departments to gather information
· Communicate with internal and external stakeholders via email and telephone
· Manage and monitor contract-related expirations, renewals and repricing
· Independently lead terms and conditions negotiations with customer and vendors
· Subcontract management, regarding both Company as a Subcontractor and third-party Subcontractors
· Review bid packages and identify legal and commercial risk
· Work with Contracts Manager to meet contract review and execution deadlines
· Identify possible solutions to workflow inefficiencies, bottlenecks and other challenges in the contracts process
· Work with Managers to understand challenges and address during contract review
· Report timely and regularly the status of all Contracts to supervisor
· Assist the Contracts Manager with minor modifications, and/or submit for review to legal
