Senior Accountant – Respected & Growing Nebraska Community Bank
This is a wonderful position for an accountant who would love to “see the whole picture” and be the “go-to” accountant for this well-known and expanding bank. Great opportunity to join one of Nebraska’s best mid-sized locally owned community banks. Our client has a small team feel but makes a large impact on the Omaha Community. This is an excellent role for someone who loves doing accounting work but doesn’t need to manage people to feel validated. No two days will be the same in this fun, fast paced role that is “mission critical” to the success of the bank.
- Own the month end close process, including multiple bank reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, prepaids, and helping with the initial stages of putting the financials together
- Be a vital part of the day-to-day accounting – helping to backup and review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and own a set of daily journal entries
- Be the lead with ad hoc projects that come up quite often – assist with quarterly reporting, help with pulling reports and documentation, as well as many other projects spanning a wide range
- Play a crucial part in helping the bank with technology enhancements – leaders want to continue to push and be the best they can be, and they are not afraid to implement new technologies that will improve processes
This is a great position for someone who is working in a more narrow accountant position in a larger company or an experienced Accounting Manager who wants to step back into a key accountant role with no more performance reviews or direct reports. This is not a job where you are siloed, you will be exposed to many different topics and have the ability to work with excellent financial leaders who will never micromanage you.
