BELMONT Search is a Construction and Infrastructure executive search firm. We are engaged by general contractors and construction managers in Greater Boston on senior delivery positions, and this Project Executive position is one of them.
THE OPPORTUNITY
A Project Executive position with an established Greater Boston general contractor building commercial, multifamily and institutional projects. The position sits above the project managers, reports to ownership, and carries full accountability for a group of projects from preconstruction handoff through closeout.
THE ROLE
Several projects at once, each with its own project manager and superintendent reporting to you. Buyout strategy, the owner relationship, staffing, the cost position and the schedule on every job in the group are yours, with the authority to run them.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivery of multiple concurrent projects, with the project managers and superintendents on them
- Buyout strategy and subcontractor selection, from the first package to the last
- Owner, architect and development team relationships at the executive level
- Monthly cost position, forecast and risk review for every project you hold
- Staffing each project team and developing the project managers who report to you
- Preconstruction input on pursuits and on the next projects before they are bought
QUALIFICATIONS
- Twelve or more years in building construction, with several as the senior person responsible for multiple projects
- Projects of $20,000,000 and above as project executive or senior project manager
- Direct management of project managers and superintendents
- A construction management or engineering degree, or equivalent experience; Massachusetts project experience is an advantage
COMPENSATION
Base of $180,000 to $240,000, plus bonus and vehicle.
