THE OPPORTUNITY
A Superintendent position with a builder south of Boston whose work is ground-up multifamily and senior living. The position runs one project from site work through turnover, reports to the project executive, and is being added ahead of a start this winter.
THE ROLE
The field on a ground-up wood frame over podium building: site and utilities, foundations and podium, framing, envelope and finishes, with the subcontractors sequenced by you and the schedule held by you. The project manager carries the contract and the owner, and the two of you run the job together.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily direction of subcontractors and the project's own field crew
- The project schedule, built with the project manager and updated weekly
- Safety program on site, with the records and toolbox talks behind it
- Quality control through each phase, from foundations to punch list
- Coordination with the owner's representative, the architect and the inspectors
- Daily reports, as-builts and the turnover package
QUALIFICATIONS
- Eight or more years in the field, with at least one ground-up multifamily or senior living project run start to finish as the superintendent
- Wood frame over podium, and the site and utility work in front of it
- OSHA 30, and a Massachusetts construction supervisor license is an advantage
- Procore or a comparable field platform
COMPENSATION
Base of $120,000 to $160,000, plus bonus and vehicle.
