THE OPPORTUNITY
A Superintendent position with an established South Florida general contractor, on ground-up and renovation projects in the commercial, institutional and multifamily markets. The position holds the site from mobilization through certificate of occupancy and reports to the project manager and a project executive.
THE ROLE
The field on one project at a time: the subcontractors and their sequence, the schedule, safety and quality, inspections, and the daily record of the job, with an assistant superintendent or field engineer working to you on the larger projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Subcontractor direction and sequencing day to day, with the project's own field crew
- The master schedule and the three-week look-ahead, held with the project manager
- Site safety, from the program on paper to the practice on the slab
- Quality through each phase: foundations, structure, envelope, interiors and punch
- Building department, threshold and special inspections, scheduled and passed
- Daily logs, as-builts and the turnover package
QUALIFICATIONS
- Eight or more years in the field, several of them as the superintendent of record from mobilization through certificate of occupancy
- Commercial, institutional or multifamily projects permitted in Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach
- OSHA 30; a Florida contractor license is an advantage
- Spanish on site is an advantage and is not required
COMPENSATION
Base of $120,000 to $165,000, plus vehicle and bonus.
