A Miami contractor is hiring a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to keep its fleet running, split between field service and the shop. BELMONT Search recruits for construction and infrastructure contractors across South Florida. This is a permanent job with the contractor, not a staffing assignment.

THE ROLE

You work out of a company truck, you get the call when something goes down on a job site, and you decide whether it gets fixed there or comes in.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Hydraulics diagnostics and repair, which is the core of this job
• Diesel engine diagnostics and repair
• Field service calls out of a company provided truck
• Shop work: scheduled maintenance, teardowns and rebuilds
• Excavators, loaders, telehandlers, skid steers and support trucks
• Keeping the fleet available for the schedule the job is running to

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong hydraulics and strong diesel, which are the two things that matter
• Welding and fabrication help
• A CDL helps, and neither is required
• You can diagnose in a field with no lift and no manual

COMPENSATION

Pay of $38.00 to $50.00 an hour, depending on experience.
