THE ROLE

You do the takeoff, you build the number, and you stay with it through the handoff so the job gets built the way you priced it.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and spec and design build pricing, $1M packages and up
• Takeoff, vendor and subcontractor quotes, bid day execution
• Scope review and the questions that surface a bad spec early
• Handoff to project management and the field
• Cost history kept so the next bid is sharper than the last
• Equipment selection and lead times that decide the schedule

QUALIFICATIONS

• Five or more years estimating mechanical, plumbing or fire protection work
• Laboratory, healthcare or institutional projects move you up the list
• Fluent in a takeoff and estimating package
• Numbers that still held once the job was running

COMPENSATION

Base of $110,000 to $150,000.
