BELMONT Search is a construction executive search firm serving heavy civil and highway contractors across the Northeast. We are engaged on current and upcoming Superintendent searches with contractors delivering NYSDOT and authority work across the Hudson Valley.

THE OPPORTUNITY

These positions carry the field on public highway and bridge work: union crews, state inspection, and a schedule measured against the contract's milestone dates.

THE ROLE

You will run the site and the crews, and you will be accountable for production, safety, and the quality the state's inspectors sign off on.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct field operations on highway, bridge and heavy civil projects
• Manage union field forces, equipment and daily production
• Hold the schedule against contract milestones and traffic staging
• Administer safety and quality to NYSDOT and authority standards
• Coordinate with the state's inspection staff and resident engineer
• Maintain the daily records public work is audited against

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Ten or more years in heavy civil field leadership, several running your own projects
• Highway, bridge or structures work under NYSDOT or authority contracts
• Command of maintenance of traffic staging and phased construction
• Experience directing union field forces

COMPENSATION

Base salary of $130,000 to $170,000.
