About the Role
A leading alternative asset manager focused on private and public credit is seeking a technically fluent Project Manager to operate at the intersection of finance and software delivery. This role translates investment team workflows into engineering requirements, drives sprint execution, and ensures timely delivery of internal platforms.
You will act as the key liaison between investment professionals, data scientists, and engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Delivery
- Own and manage the project tracking system (e.g., Linear/Jira): maintain workflow hygiene, triage requests, and communicate updates to stakeholders
- Write detailed, acceptance-criteria-driven tickets; lead sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Maintain and prioritize the product roadmap; manage scope and trade-offs with leadership
- Translate credit workflows (e.g., deal tracking, covenant monitoring, counterparty management) into technical requirements
- Validate releases against business requirements prior to deployment
Data & Technical Collaboration
- Use SQL to extract and analyze data for validation and documentation purposes
- Partner with data teams to define reporting requirements and support scalable data infrastructure
AI-Augmented Workflow
- Leverage modern AI tools (e.g., LLMs) for prototyping, documentation, ticket generation, and QA
- Identify and pilot new AI-driven workflows to improve team efficiency and output
Required Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in private credit, private equity, fixed income, investment banking, or similar environments
- Strong SQL skills (joins, window functions, CTEs) and working knowledge of Python (e.g., pandas, scripting)
- Experience managing projects in tools like Linear, Jira, or similar
- Excellent written communication skills (PRDs, tickets, reporting)
- Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Background as a Business Analyst, Associate PM, or Technical PM within a credit-focused firm or fintech
- Familiarity with credit data (loans, bonds, covenants, financial statements)
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and trade-offs between velocity and technical debt
- Experience with modern tooling such as project tracking platforms, version control systems, cloud data warehouses, and Python-based workflows
