Mid-Level KDB+/Q Developer – Data Systems & Analytics

Location: Midtown Manhattan (Hybrid – 2 days/week)

Overview:

A high-performance trading technology firm is looking for a skilled KDB+/Q Developer to join their Data Systems & Analytics team. This division plays a central role in designing and maintaining scalable data infrastructure to support quantitative modeling and analysis.

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize, and maintain Q-based pipelines and KDB+ databases
• Build data tooling to empower quantitative teams with fast, reliable access to market and strategy data
• Collaborate with researchers and technologists to deliver robust, low-latency data solutions
• Integrate messaging frameworks to support real-time data processing and delivery

Preferred Experience & Skills:

• 3–10+ years of professional experience with KDB+/Q in a production environment
• Background in data infrastructure supporting trading, investment research, or analytics-heavy applications
• Strong grasp of distributed systems and high-throughput data pipelines
• Proficiency working in Linux-based environments
• Familiarity with Python; knowledge of R is a plus
