What you will do

 

Ferroglobe’s Customer Service Specialist will be one first point of contact for sales, customers and owner of the order process, responsible for answering and responding to customer issues with a sense of personal accountability and professionalism. This role is also a key member of a sales team, with the aim of building long-term customer satisfaction.

  • Interact with customers and Salesmen via telephone, fax and emails regarding material request, order status, changes, or any other modifications that need to be made by the customer or Salesmen.
  • Update customer profiles as required by Salesmen. Change pricing, packaging, shipping method, and internal customer specifications and instructions.
  • Process orders, order changes and deletions for customers that were received via telephone, fax and email.
  • Interact with the plant operations and shipping departments regarding customer orders and any changes or specifications that may arise at a last minute request.
  • Verify pricing from the purchase orders vs. the profiles for accuracy to maintain sales accuracy and historical sales records.
  • Operate Microsoft office on a daily basis; which includes but not limited to, Excel, Word, Access, and any Outlook applications. Knowledgeable with basic office equipment (copiers, fax machines and scanners).
  • Strong people skills and strong computer skills a must.
  • SAP, ERP or relevant experience is required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.


 What we seek: 

  • Manufacturing Experience desirable
  • Ability to communicate effectively, with fluency in English preferred
  • Customer Service Experience
  • SAP experience

Working Environment: 

  • Mainly office environment but on occasion (when needed) go into the plant 
  • Occasionally wears proper PPE in the manufacturing area (shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection)
