JOB DESCRIPTION

We are on the lookout for Houdini FX artists! We have some huge shows coming up this year with some big sequences and are seeking after experienced FX Artists to join the team. You should have strong technical and artistic knowledge and be skilled in implementing the set-up and simulations on shots and sequences, providing the team with both test and final renders of the elements. Our main focus on upcoming shows are particle, volumetric and rigid body dynamics based simulations,  so proven experience in these are preferred, although specialisms within other simulation systems such as pyro, fluid and cloth simulations are welcomed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design realistic and optimized FX setups using Houdini FX.

- Exceptional technical skills and artistic talent, demonstrated by previous work for Films and TV Episodic projects.

- Implementing  FX into shots from a productive approach.

- Responsible for producing FX elements for other departments that meet the production standard within the deadlines.

- Strong understanding of physical dynamics and natural phenomena.

- Revise simulations and implement feedback from your supervisors.

- Proactively contribute to the creative look along with the supervisor team.

- Ability to find innovative solutions to creative and technical problems.

- Capable of light and rendering your FX elements.

QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years  production experience , film and/or TV Episodic in Houdini FX.

- Good knowledge of Arnold , Mantra, Karma(desired).

- Scripting skills, Vex and Python (desired).

- Familiarized with Linux
