Full-time, Remote position (Must be living in California).


Our client is seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Senior Cannabis Broker to join their global team to launch into the California cannabis market as part of their new US subsidiary.


As the Senior Cannabis Broker, you will be responsible for supporting business development efforts across California, building strategic partnerships, and driving the growth of their wholesale cannabis brokerage services. Your leadership and vision will be crucial in establishing our presence in the California cannabis market.


The responsibilities of a Senior Cannabis Broker include providing excellent customer service, a deep understanding of the product types and cannabis value chain, the ability to formulate unique deals for a successful closing, and processing documentation and trade information for market insights for clients after a trade is complete. 


To be successful as a Cannabis Broker, you should have extensive knowledge of the cannabis industry in California, as well as deal execution experience with cannabis products.


This is a full-time, remote position (*must be based in California, ideally near a major city or in Northern California).


Must be legally able to work in the USA.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and establish relationships with key stakeholders, including cannabis growers, distributors, and retailers
  • Secure contracts and agreements to expand our network and service offerings
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape
  • Managing and build a book of clients including developing new cannabis company relationships
  • Execute spot and forward market transactions
  • Review and approve posted products for trading on the platform 
  • Advise clients on effective marketing and pricing strategies
  • Review order and trade confirmations
  • Liaison trade information to shipping partner
  • Manage ad hoc requests from clients
  • Maintain trade and regulatory data records
  • Comply with all industry and government regulations 
  • Comply with all company and exchange rules
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and credibility
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded
  • Monitor and report on business development performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Cannabis industry experience 
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Prior account management experience
  • Incredible attention to detail
  • Prior experience working within California cannabis regulations and with license holders
  • Experience with the operations of cannabis facilities and shipments 
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Microsoft Office experience
