Business Analyst

MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN A SIMILAR ROLE IN THE CANADIAN LEGAL CANNABIS INDUSTRY (LP, Retail, Ancillary etc).
Our client is a vertically integrated, licensed producer of premium cannabis products based in Newfoundland. They are a tight-knit company known for their innovative products, ‘all hands on deck’ attitudes, and commitment to excellence in the cannabis industry.
They are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst to oversee company-wide data and reporting (including sales, operational, and financial data).
This new role will be critical in enhancing their data capabilities, providing actionable insights, and supporting the leadership team’s strategic objectives.
This position will be responsible for developing reports/dashboards, tracking KPIs, identifying trends, and delivering insights that will drive business performance.
MUST have prior experience in a similar role within Canada’s licensed cannabis market and familiarity with industry-standard POS/Seed-to-Sale software.
This role can be performed remotely, and candidates can be located anywhere in Canada but must be able to support the regular business hours of the ATL timezone. (Preference if can be based in Newfoundland/East Coast Canada).
Key Responsibilities
Data Management and Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze data related to sales, operations, and financial performance to support decision-making.
Reporting and Dashboards: Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs, trends, and business outcomes.
Sales Analytics: Track sales performance by product, region, and channel. Provide insights to improve market penetration and revenue growth.
Operational Insights: Analyze operational data to identify areas of efficiency, streamline processes, and support production planning.
Financial Performance Tracking: Collaborate with the finance team to analyze revenue, expenses, and profitability. Provide insights for budgeting and forecasting.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with teams such as sales, operations, marketing, and leadership to provide data-driven recommendations.
Software Expertise: Utilize tools such as PowerBI, Breadstack, Cova, and GrowerIQ to extract and analyze data effectively.
Market Insights: Leverage cannabis industry data to identify trends, benchmark performance, and ensure the company remains competitive.
