Indoor Cultivation Lead

Our client is a privately held, multi-state cannabis operator (MSO) dedicated to cultivating high-quality, compliant, and sustainable cannabis across multiple states. The Indoor Cultivation Lead will support and optimize indoor cultivation operations within the New Jersey facility, ensuring consistency, quality, and best-in-class cannabis production. This role requires a hands-on cultivation expert with a strong understanding of commercial-scale indoor cultivation, environmental controls, plant health, and day-to-day execution.


The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented grower who thrives in the cultivation environment, leads by example, and can support the team in maintaining disciplined, high-performing operations.


This is a full-time, onsite position based in New Jersey.


MUST be legally able to work in the USA.


MUST HAVE:


  • 2-4+ years of hands-on experience in indoor cannabis cultivation at commercial scale
  • Direct experience working within a licensed cannabis facility (not personal or small-scale grows)
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining environmental parameters (HVAC, lighting, humidity, irrigation systems)
  • Proven ability to support yield, quality, and consistency targets across multiple harvest cycles
  • Experience following and executing SOPs and compliance protocols (METRC or equivalent)
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in New Jersey


Key Responsibilities


  • Support daily indoor cultivation operations from propagation through harvest across multiple grow cycles
  • Monitor and maintain environmental conditions including temperature, humidity, lighting, and airflow within set parameters
  • Execute irrigation schedules, nutrient programs, and IPM protocols consistently and accurately
  • Identify plant health issues early and take corrective action or escalate as needed
  • Support canopy management, pruning, defoliation, and plant movement activities
  • Ensure consistency in plant care, cultivation practices, and output quality across batches
  • Execute and maintain SOP adherence across all cultivation activities
  • Maintain accurate records for plant tracking, compliance, and internal reporting
  • Support harvest, drying, and curing processes to ensure product quality standards are met
  • Assist in training and guiding junior cultivation staff on daily tasks and best practices
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance within all cultivation areas


Requirements


  • 2-4+ years experience in indoor cannabis cultivation or controlled environment agriculture
  • Experience working within a regulated environment with strict compliance requirements
  • Strong understanding of plant health, nutrient management, irrigation systems, and IPM strategies
  • Experience working with environmental control systems (e.g., Priva, Argus, AROYA or similar)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding cultivation environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes consistently
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to support and guide junior staff
