Position Summary:

This is not just a job, but a business ownership opportunity for experienced finance professionals who want to lead as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or Financial Controller in the cannabis industry. 


As a franchise owner, you will oversee all financial operations for your clients, provide strategic financial planning, and ensure compliance with the unique regulatory challenges in the cannabis sector. 


This role is ideal for seasoned finance leaders seeking to own and run a business while leveraging their finance expertise to serve a fast-growing, high-potential market.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Financial Strategy & Planning: Guide the financial strategies of cannabis businesses, offering insights on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Manage financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and cannabis-specific regulations, including navigating IRS Code 280E and state/federal tax laws.
  • Risk Management: Implement internal controls and mitigate financial and regulatory risks in this complex, evolving market.
  • Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Ensure smooth cash flow and liquidity, while addressing banking limitations common to the cannabis industry.
  • Investor Relations: Act as the financial face of your clients' businesses, managing investor relationships, and supporting capital raising efforts.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead finance teams, fostering a culture of accountability and financial discipline within your client base.


Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or CPA is preferred.
  • Experience: 7-10 years of financial leadership experience (CFO, VP of Finance, Controller), with a preference for those with cannabis industry experience or other highly regulated sectors.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of financial regulations related to cannabis, tax laws (including Section 280E), and cash flow management under regulatory constraints.
  • Skills: Strong strategic planning, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and provide business-critical financial insights.
  • Location: Based anywhere in the USA.
