Location: Southlake, TX (Travel to local jobsites as needed)

Position Summary 

The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing Acadia Services' health and safety programs across all field and office operations. This role partners closely with executive leadership and field management to ensure OSHA compliance, reduce workplace incidents, and promote a proactive culture of safety. 

The ideal candidate is a visible leader who enjoys being in the field, coaching employees, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement. 


What You'll Do 

  • Develop, implement, and maintain company safety policies and procedures that meet OSHA and regulatory requirements.  
  • Lead safety training, new hire orientations, toolbox talks, and emergency preparedness programs.  
  • Conduct routine jobsite inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and eliminate hazards.  
  • Investigate incidents, recommend corrective actions, and track follow-up activities.  
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with all company safety standards.  
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual safety reports for executive leadership.  
  • Monitor safety metrics and identify trends to improve overall performance.  
  • Partner with operations and project teams to promote a strong safety culture across all jobsites.  
  • Assist with safety budgeting, program development, and continuous improvement initiatives.  
  • Lead and support the Safety Team while serving as the company's safety resource.  

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field preferred.  
  • Occupational Health & Safety certification preferred.  
  • 3+ years of experience as a Safety Manager or Health & Safety Manager, preferably in construction or utilities.  
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.  
  • Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, investigations, and employee training.  
  • Familiarity with safety management software such as iAuditor, SiteDocs, Safesite, or similar platforms.  
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.  
  • Ability to build relationships with field personnel and executive leadership.  
  • Viewpoint experience is a plus.  
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
