Position Overview:
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing, tracking, and reconciling payments to ensure accurate and timely financial operations. The ideal candidate has a few years of experience in a similar role, a solid understanding of accounts payable processes, and good computer skills, including proficiency in Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoices and payments accurately and promptly in accordance with company policies.
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements to ensure all accounts are up-to-date.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and answer inquiries.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of financial transactions.
- Assist in month-end closing activities by preparing necessary reports and reconciliations.
- Perform data entry and maintain the AP system with up-to-date and accurate information.
- Support the Finance team with ad hoc projects or tasks as needed.
Qualifications:

Experience: 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.

Knowledge: General understanding of AP processes, including invoice processing and reconciliation.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in computer systems, with basic to intermediate knowledge of Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs are a bonus).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines efficiently.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certifications in finance or accounting is a plus.
