We are looking to add a Health & Safety Manager to our team.

As our Health & Safety Manager, you'll have the opportunity to shape and elevate our safety culture across multiple operations. You'll partner with leaders throughout the organization to build proactive safety programs, improve operational performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and create an environment where safety and continuous improvement go hand in hand.

 

What You'll Do

 

Build a Best-in-Class Safety Culture

· Champion a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility.

· Develop and implement health and safety programs that exceed OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements.

· Lead safety initiatives that reduce risk, prevent injuries, and improve overall workplace performance.

· Facilitate engaging safety meetings, training programs, and awareness initiatives across the organization.

 

Drive Continuous Improvement

· Partner closely with Operations to improve efficiency while reducing safety-related costs.

· Develop and lead accident investigation and root cause analysis programs that prevent future incidents.

· Conduct facility audits and safety inspections across multiple locations, identifying opportunities for improvement.

· Stay current on evolving regulations and industry best practices, recommending innovative solutions that strengthen the organization's safety performance.

 

Lead Compliance & Risk Management

· Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations.

· Manage Workers' Compensation claims and oversee return-to-work/light-duty programs.

· Prepare and maintain regulatory reports, documentation, and safety records.

· Develop corrective and preventative action plans while monitoring progress to completion.

 

Influence Through Leadership

· Serve as the organization's trusted safety advisor to leaders at every level.

· Coach managers and employees on safe work practices and regulatory requirements.

· Lead strategic planning efforts related to health and safety initiatives.

· Drive organizational change by implementing new programs, technologies, and best practices.

 

Develop People & Build Strong Teams

· Lead and develop members of the safety team.

· Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

· Support employee development through ongoing coaching, recognition, and performance management.

 

What You'll Bring

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, 5+ years of health and safety experience, preferably within manufacturing.

· Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, Workers' Compensation, and regulatory compliance.

· Experience conducting audits, investigations, and safety training.

· Proven leadership experience with the ability to influence across departments.

· Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a continuous improvement mindset.
