Position: Plumbing Designer II

TJK Consulting Engineers, INC is hiring an experienced Plumbing Designer to work a hybrid role out of our Las Vegas, NV office. TJK Consulting Engineers, Inc. is a multidisciplinary engineering firm providing electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and technology services founding in 1986. What will you be doing? 

• Creating detailed drawings and specifications for plumbing systems, including piping layouts, fixture locations, and equipment requirements.
• Determining the size and capacity of pipes, pumps, and other equipment needed to properly distribute water, gas, and waste materials.
• Evaluating the site and building requirements to determine the most efficient and cost-effective plumbing solutions.
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that the plumbing system meets all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Providing technical guidance and support to construction teams during the installation and testing of plumbing systems.
• Responsible for meeting internal and external deadlines/schedules.
• Client site visits and meetings, as needed.

What are the Job Requirements?

• Five or more years’ experience in commercial plumbing design.
• Skilled at design work such as medical gas or laboratory design, compressed air design, and hot water design.
• MEP firm experience is required.
• Revit proficiency.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, contracts, and procedures. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, guests and other situations that may arise.
• Degree is not a requirement, but is a plus.
• Must be local to Las Vegas as the hybrid schedule will require part-time work in the office.

Compensation

TJK Consulting Engineers offers a competitive salary of approximately $70,000-80,000, with bonus potential. Their comprehensive benefits package offers 100% employee premium coverage, 401k match, ample PTO package, and a flexible hybrid work schedule. Salary is commensurate with experience.
