Compensation: $85k–$125k annually, based on experience and qualifications

Centerline Energy Construction is a growing energy infrastructure and construction company supporting critical natural gas, utility, pipeline, and facility construction projects across the Midwest and Western United States. With more than 35 years of experience in critical energy infrastructure, Centerline has built a strong reputation for safety, responsiveness, open communication, and delivering reliable solutions that clients can count on.

We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented Project Manager to join our Northern Colorado team and help lead high-pressure natural gas pipeline projects from start to finish. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys being in the center of the action — coordinating people, schedules, budgets, materials, subcontractors, and client expectations to keep complex projects moving forward.

The ideal candidate is someone who thinks ahead, communicates clearly, takes ownership, and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment. This person will work closely with field crews, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Execution

·      Manage natural gas high-pressure pipeline projects through the full project lifecycle

·      Coordinate schedules, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and field resources to ensure work is completed on time and within scope

·      Partner closely with field leadership, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to keep projects moving efficiently

·      Lead, manage, and hold accountable direct reports such as Project Administrative Assistants

·      Maintain strong communication between field and office teams to ensure project alignment

Financial Management & Change Management

·      Own the financial performance of assigned projects

·      Prepare weekly and monthly client billings

·      Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices

·      Prepare requests for change and change orders in a timely and professional manner

·      Negotiate prime contract and subcontractor change orders

·      Participate in monthly margin analysis projections and provide financial information for WIP preparation and review

Scheduling & Project Coordination

·      Work with the Superintendent to develop preliminary project schedules and maintain updates

·      Provide three-week look-ahead schedules during progress meetings

·      Communicate key milestones to the project team and create a sense of urgency

·      Identify and track long-lead materials to ensure crews have what they need when they need it

·      Evaluate schedule impacts, project risks, overtime needs, and schedule-related costs

Client, Vendor & Subcontractor Management

·      Maintain regular communication with client representatives throughout the project lifecycle

·      Build strong client relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and reliable execution

·      Select and manage subcontractors and vendors based on performance, cost, and project needs

·      Ensure subcontractors have proper documentation, agreements, releases, and contract requirements in place before working on-site

·      Represent Centerline with professionalism and a strong customer-service mindset

Safety, Quality & Risk Management

·      Take ownership of safety for assigned project teams and subordinate workers

·      Support project safety implementation as a backup to the Superintendent

·      Perform quarterly safety audits at minimum

·      Ensure near misses, accidents, and incidents are reported appropriately

·      Reinforce safety protocols and support a safety-first approach over production

·      Review owner contracts, subcontractor requirements, project documentation, meeting minutes, and issue logs to reduce risk

·      Ensure materials are reviewed, inventoried, and properly documented before use

·      Manage punch lists, warranty items, and closeout activities with urgency and attention to detail

Company Culture & Continuous Improvement

·      Champion Centerline Energy Construction’s mission and core values

·      Contribute to a positive, professional, team-oriented work culture

·      Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, project execution, and overall team effectiveness

·      Mentor others on the importance of safety, professionalism, accountability, and customer service

Qualifications:

·      5+ years of construction experience

·      Experience with a contractor in the utilities and/or energy industry is required

·      Previous experience in a Project Manager, Estimator, or similar construction management role

·      Experience managing natural gas, pipeline, utility, or energy infrastructure projects strongly preferred

·      Project management training or coursework encouraged

·      Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, but not required

·      Strong understanding of field activities, project management SOPs, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and construction documentation

·      Strong financial, math, analytical, and problem-solving skills

·      Ability to manage project budgets, change orders, invoices, schedules, and client expectations

·      High awareness of safety and compliance with company safety rules

·      Ability to collaborate effectively with both field and office personnel

·      Strong written and verbal communication skills

·      Valid driver’s license required

·      Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check

·      Must be willing to travel and work additional hours as project needs require

Work Environment:

This role includes both office-based project management responsibilities and regular visits to job sites and crews. Job site visits may involve working outdoors year-round and exposure to heat, cold, wind, sun, heavy excavation equipment, vehicles, trailers, and live utility lines such as natural gas, water, and electric. Appropriate personal protective equipment may be required, including hard hats, safety glasses, high-visibility clothing, respirators, and fall protection depending on site conditions.

Benefits:

·      Paid time off according to the Centerline Employee Handbook

·      Company-provided medical, dental, vision, and life insurance

·      Employee Assistance Program

·      401(k) with company match after the first year of employment

·      Seven paid holidays each year

Why This Opportunity?

·      Join a growing energy infrastructure company supporting critical natural gas and utility projects

·      Step into a hands-on leadership role where your work directly impacts safety, budgets, schedules, client relationships, and field success

·      Manage high-pressure pipeline projects with a team that values responsiveness, accountability, professionalism, and quality execution

·      Work in a collaborative environment where strong communication, problem-solving, and ownership are valued

·      Contribute to infrastructure projects that help keep communities moving forward and energy systems operating safely and reliably

·      If you are a project leader who enjoys thinking ahead, solving problems, building relationships, and keeping complex construction projects moving, this could be a strong next step in your career.
