Mechanical Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for multiple experienced Mechanical Engineers to join our group in Albuquerque.

Responsibilities

In this position, the ideal candidate performs mechanical design and engineering, equipment selection, plumbing plan layout, specification writing, cost estimating, coordination with other consultants and team members, and client interaction. This position involves working on several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Some local and state travel will be required to perform field investigations, coordinate design requirements, and to build client relations.

We look for the following ideal qualifications:

  • Minimum four year college degree from an accredited engineering program
  • Minimum of 2-6 years of mechanical engineering experience within a consulting or design-build firm
  • Professional Licensed Mechanical Engineer is a plus
  • Self-motivated with the ability to develop approaches to projects independently, and perform detailed execution of electrical design
  • Communicates well verbally, in writing, and graphically, with other engineers, clients, and code authorities
  • Project management skills with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong personal ambition and work ethic
  • Strong working knowledge of various building, mechanical, plumbing, fire, energy conservation, and fuel gas codes
  • Strong working knowledge of the NFPA and other industry related standards
  • Strong personal ambition to be a team player and provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced designer/engineers
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Trace 700 and other design related software
